Sold out on event nights, with the weekday lunches behind them
How a downtown dining room with seven halls and a shelf of awards got back the weekdays it was missing.

What went missing
Avangarda has seven halls, seats up to 420, sits beside a major metro station, and has a Golden Fork and a Luxury Brand of the Year on the wall. Monday to Thursday the halls were empty.
The weekends still worked. The rest of the week carried the same costs on a fraction of the revenue, and the swing nights, salsa evenings and concerts on the calendar were playing to rows of empty chairs because almost nobody knew they were happening.
The retrieval
A new site put the menu, the reservations and the event calendar in one place, and the weekly menu started going out every Monday instead of whenever someone remembered.
The campaigns carried two goals at once: fill the events, and pull weekday lunches and business groups out of the offices around the station.
What came back
Sold outEvery concert and dance night on the calendar
81People who got in touch through the campaigns
The sold-out nights are the restaurant's own count of its concerts and dance evenings. The 81 contacts came through the campaigns over the same weeks, at a click-through rate of 4.6%, roughly twice what hospitality ads average.
From the founder
My dad has run restaurants his whole life.
I grew up in one. I watched agencies do to him exactly what this page just described.
All of us building this are close to the restaurant industry. This isn't an outside bet on a market. It's personal.
